Gustav has found the right track
Bachmann SD-45 Erie Lackawanna Available

G'day Mates,

I recently picked up two Bachmann Spectrum SD-45 locos in the Erie Lackawanna gray and maroon paint scheme. Both required some fine tuning out of the box, better decoder, lubing, etc. I managed to get one of them running beautifully on my ceiling layout which, admittedly, has very sharp curves in the corners but the other loco keeps derailing when running in reverse. What's more it derails inside a tunnel.

I do not care to rip up the tunnel, which would also invovle disrupting some wiring to chase down this gremlin. The loco needs some breaking in; right now its a sluggish runner.

So, I've decided to invest my time and money elsewhere and put the second Bachmann on Ebay. However, I will wait until tomorrow to do so to let any of you send me an email (gustav@SojournsInNature.com) or PM if you're interested in the engine. I'm asking $55.00 for it and $5.00 shipping.

Besides, I spotted an Erie Lackawanna RS-3 by Atlas I want.

If it's running ok in forward both directions but derails in one direction then it's down to two things, iregular track geometry and out of true back to back guage on the wheels, I have done some doctoring on bachmanns where the pivot is on the body and removed some plastic to allow for more latteral movement on the bogies, some times you may even get away with just loosening the pivot screw by about a half turn, Gentle turning of this screw anti-clockwise till you feel the resistance going and then retighten a half turn again should help.
